I ordered a TMC #1500 FSB with NPX BIOPlastics, RIO 1700 with Max 3. I have the ISTA turbo CO2 Reactor Diffuser 12mm/16mm. TMC Vecton 600 25watt UV and 18watt coralife Turbo twist(bought before I found AAP hahaha)
Also have your AAP SUN SUN 404B canister coming, to replace my Fluval 406.
Currently using the 406 for general filtration and the smaller 106 filled only with Seachem Bio Matrix and De-nitrate runing for Ammonia and Nitrite only, never had any luck with denitrification in the smaller Canister no matter how low the GPH. Its just not deep enough. With the FSB the 106 will become a spare filter.
I was going to try and use the 406 as straight BIO with low GPH Bio matrix on the bottom 2 trays and Denitrate on the Top 2, even flirted with the idea of replacing the sponges with Bio media. Then I read your information on FSB.
Hose; I have 10feet of Eheim 1/2 and 3/4 equivalent that run slightly smaller. Have all hose barb connectors, reducers, hose clamps, teflon tape etc.
My question, is this, can I run UV,FSB,CO2 reactor all off the RIO 1700? Am sure this could be done just checking. 1st attempt at any of this.
next question: Does the order matter?
I was thinking from the RIO1700/Max 3 out to the CO2 reactor to the TMC FSB then through both UV's back to the tank? Any reasons this is a bad idea?
any and all advice is greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Chris

I think it should work. I would run it Rio to FSB to reactor, to uv. That way, the FSB is getting the most flow it can and can be tailored as needed. Also, the co2 is not going through the FSB.
