Looking good as usual! Is that a grass or just green substrate in the African Cichlid tank? Carl

Love your tanks, they are sooo beautiful! Where do you get fake grass to use with fish? How long does it take to do your aquarium chores? I just have the 2 tanks, and I hate having to clean them. Actually, I don't mind when I actually get down to doing it, it's just making myself do it that's the problem; I'm like that with housework, as well--I'm lazy by nature. . . . didn't I just do that? When I was in the middle of doing "20" things at once recently, I would just toss trash on the floor by my chair (while sorting mail, etc), then pick it all up at once, later in the day, and toss it; and stuff I was working on got piled up near where I was working with them so I wouldn't have to keep looking for them. At the moment the place looks like it exploded, because I had to break the 55G down for a few days . . . I keep having problems finding things because they are all over the place, instead of where they belong. I couldn't remember where I put my 65 oz carton of aquarium salt yesterday when I wanted to change the soak water for my new driftwood; the driftwood is soaking in the Igloo Party Bucket in the bathroom, but there is nowhere to keep the carton in there--the sink has no cabinet, and its rim varies from 2 to 3" wide. The other day, as I was refilling the Party Bucket, I had carried my 2G bucket of water into the bathroom, but before I got all the way in the room I knocked something over, so I steadied the bucket on the corner, bent down to pick the object up, and before I could stand back up, the bucket decided to fall . . . water all over the floor and my brand new roll of toilet paper !

Thank you. The tanks do keep me busy. If I am only doing water changes I can get them done in around 4 hours, if I have to actually rescape or such it can take days (I cannot do major maintenance in one day anymore due to health problems) I enjoy it though, keeps my mind off bad crazy stuff happening in my life currently. The tanks are my zen place so to speak A few updated pics The divided tanks Loki and his tank (this tank will be going back to grass on the bottom, much easier to maintain than gravel or sand) Severus and his tank Discus/Angel tank (sorry about other tank reflections) Tetra tank

Where do you get fake grass to use with fish? I bought it from a shop called "The Reject Shop", it sells low cost items

An update: Sorry I haven't added anything new for a while. My hubby and I have recently bought our own home. So I have been busy trying to condense down the tanks to keep just what I need running. I have also added another 2 racks to the tank totals lol (around 28 tanks)....I have an undercover area full of tanks waiting to be moved lol, also more sitting in the pool (table) room. I managed to get the guys that built most of my tanks to, when moving date is here, bring their truck and gear to move the majority of tanks over for me (thankfully!!!) Will be setting some of these up at the new house and bringing fish and filters over and putting on the holding tanks while, I empty and then move the remaining tanks from the old house. I am also in the process of getting quotes to have a 6mx6m shed (fishroom) built at the new house. All the tanks will eventually be put into here, but first up they will need to go into the undercover area and the entertainment shed. The new shed will be fully insulated and lined, with a drain in the floor. Once the shed is built I will be looking at getting a few 4x4x2ft tanks built I am also going to merge my planted tanks into the 6x2x2 tank... I cant wait honestly, very excited to finally have my own fish tank shed Just so I added a few latest pics One of my current planted tanks And one of my goldie tank

They tell me the shed will take 3 months to be built, then I need to get a sparky to wire it up, Hubby and I are going to insulate and line it, then we can organise to get reverse cycle aircon units added and a dehumidifier, so the shed will take a little while to be ready for tanks....bit of a pain, but oh well, that's just how it is I spose.
So I will only be running the tanks I really need to be running until the shed is ready.
The 6ft is being moved on Wed. I have picked up some awesome rocks to use in the new planted scape, this will help me get more height to the scape seeing as I have 2ft to fill in. The wood, plants and substrate (plus some extra) from the 5ft pictured above will be going into the 6ft. The fish will be staying in a fairly bare tank for a bit while I get the 6ft setup. Once done i'll move the canister and fish over. Thankfully I have a good amount of time to get all the tanks and such moved over

I like your terminology for an Electrician, being called a "Sparky" down under as the persons who install and repair systems of wiring and other electrical equipment used for both commercial and residential applications.
