I need some advice/ guidance. i bought a TMC UV steriliszer and hooked it up by running a hose from the waterfall 'bowl" after it had run thru the skimmer filter. However, i have some difficult algae problems. How do I hook it up straight to the pump so that it treats all of the water?
Thanks

Filtration is key for algae issues in a pond. Many people will purchase a UV thinking it will totally solve the issue, but it's only 1 aspect needed to help prevent the algae. Good amounts of bio filtration is needed. Direct sun is harder to manage. Think about a bog/veggie filter. Have you checked out this pond article? AAP Pond Help www.americanaquariumproducts.com/ClearPond.htmlwww.americanaquariumproducts.com/PondAlgae.htmloh and of course changing UV bulbs is required. 6mo-1yr, these bulbs loss a lot of UVC power. I see you purchased the UV a year ago, with no replacement bulbs. I'm sure it's time for a new quality bulb.

Also know there's different kinds of UV lamps. Low pressure and med. AAP supplies low pressure with has 35% UVC. Others have 7%. Since I don't see the transaction from AAP, I need to bring the point up, or you could still keep having an issue even with the new bulb.
