As part of my hobby I am going to start a "Aquarium club" that will meet in local Library's here in Hendricks county. I also want to be able to meet online for daily support and thought about pointing club members to this forum if it was ok with Carl.
I thought about "Hendricks County Aquarium Club" but our main meeting place will be here in Danville. I am open to anything that would attract people to the Hobby. My first meeting is planed for April 28 at 6:30 pm at the Danville Public Library for the Beginner Aquarium keeper. Tell me also what you would expect if you joined a Aquarium Club.
We are also looking at installing a 200+ gallon Fresh water Tank at the Danville Library by the end of the year as the new construction of the Library is finished. This tank will be maintained by myself and club members.

Well... I have settled on the club name, "Danville Aquarium Club" and have a Facebook page for it too. I looked up Aquarium clubs in Indiana and only found two. One is up by Michigan and the other is in Indianapolis. Now there are three clubs in Indiana.... I want to start out by targeting new to the hobby and work up from there. I hope we can attract other advanced persons as well. In all of this My goal is to experience this hobby with others and also drive traffic towards AAP. I will also be talking up AAP products like the TMC lights. I had purchased lights from LPS that where made for the planted tank that cost only a few dollars less than the TMC. I wasted my money on lights that did very little for my plants...

I am a little late to this thread. I liked both "Hendricks County Aquarium Club" and "Danville Aquarium Club". What ever has the most broad appeal would be my thoughts This is definitely OK and VERY much appreciated. Regards; Carl
