Great! Make sure to tell your friends. Or anything like... leave a positive review. FB sharing and a review are very helpful too. We need all the help we can get going up against large companies like Amazon.

I've told who I can locally, but I don't do any social media (facebook/google+/etc).
I'll continue the word of mouth, though!

Did you get a cat with your recent order? I did...

No cat, it's a furry pet free house.
Did have a question on the 303B Filter, the middle tray was empty, did it come with carbon? I didn't look too closely at the top tray.. Bottom had volcanic rock, which I removed some of to fit 1 liter of Matrix instead.

I'm trying to remember if my 303 had carbon in center tray. I just opened up my 404 and it's volcanic rock on bottom, a bag of carbon in next basket and the last two baskets are fine pads.

The info can be passed along, but they would never know if we don't let them know.

I didn't mean to cause a stir, I just noticed it on the product page when I looked again. I guess it was a bad luck shipment.
Is the carbon normally in the middle tray? I wasn't sure if I was looking at a picture for a different filter, since it's at the bottom of the page, I figured I ordered one that came without it.
I only realized it when I couldn't find a bag that would fit that tray. I tossed in a couple 4"x8" bags with about 500mL of carbon total and put them in like bananas.

Devon pointed this out because our customer service email is monitored by many and it makes it easier to take care pf problems such as this much more quickly. Questions are great here at EA, but we want t make sure any issue with a product or shipment is taken care of in the most prompt of manner. I apologize for this mistake. We have a check list for these filters for what we add and retrofitted parts to add, so that such a mistake should not happen. Unfortunately in this case the staff member who normally preps these filters did not do this one. We have sent you replacement carbon for this filter this morning, your email should have the tracking. The carbon is best placed in the middle or top for the 303 model Carl

Cant remember... This a planted tank? If so, I'd only use carbon in times of medical treatment/issues. Just sucks up to much of the plant food.

I haven't even decided on what fish to stock yet. All I know is it'll have a white sand "river" going through about the middle, and I'm waiting for the LFS to get a big chunk that would span the river. Once that's done, it'll be planted pretty well, with grass by the stream and java fern on the driftwood plus some other stuff. I'll add purigen if the water gets yellowed from the driftwood, but usually leave the carbon in for odor control.

What kind of grass did you have in mind?

What kind of grass did you have in mind? I don't know the name, but the LFS is getting some that only grows to be about 1/2" or so. Then some moss to attach to driftwood, which the "right" piece for my taste hasn't arrived yet. I'm not in a hurry, probably have a photo of it with plants but no fish after New Years.

If you should ever need Dwarf Hair Grass, let me know. I have plenty to give away as I mow the proverbial water lawn...

I'll let you know. Just looked at some photos, how do you clean the gravel with the grass covering it, or is that the point?

I do it "very" gently. I've found that the roots extend deep enough to prevent uprooting. I also leave some bare areas to stick the python tube deeper and suck the gravel. I'm curious to know the species of grass you speak of at your LFS...
Merry Christmas..
