Carl, I've always found the Iridescent Shark (Catfish) to be beautiful fish, along with similar species like the Bala Shark and the Columbian Shark. While I've never had tanks large enough to properly house (my biggest currently a 120 gallon) them, I'm curious what experience you've had with these if any over the years.

I have not kept an Iridescent shark (Pangasianodon hypophthalmus) , but I have kept the very similar and often confused with Pangasius catfish. The Bahooka Restaurant had a couple as did a few of my clients.. These fish can get a bit unruly with their large size, getting spooked during cleanings if sudden movements are made. They ate just about anything. Here area couple of links: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pangasiusen.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iridescent_sharkCarl

Thanks Carl, Maybe when I move out of this apartment to a place that can fit the 300 gallon Marineland Cube, I'll try the Iridescent Shark. The mom and pop fish store that "used" to be around here had some red tailed sharks that were huge. Very aggressive. It's my understanding they don't school well within their kind. I like their color against a good green planted tank....with proper lighting of course Mike
