Greetings,
I've been keeping fish off and on since I was in 4th grade. That little 'ping pong ball in a bowl' challenge at the State Fair where I won my first gold fish lasted a very long time.
Now that my kids are out of college, and leading the productive life I've dreamed for them, it's time for me to get back into the hobby.
My current 10 gallon, Black Skirt tetra tank has been with me for quite some time. I also have a planted tank, (40g breeder) currently in an immersed setup, just waiting for my SunSun filter (from AmericanAquariumProducts.com) to be delivered, before I flood the tank. I also have a 100 gallon tank (currently dry) that I'd like to make into an African cichlid tank sometime in 2015.
I just like to add I honesty stumbled upon American Aquarium Products, and spent many hours reading and catching up on what the aquarium hobby's grown into compared to my past experiences. I definitely have some learning to do, and I'm sure with the tons of information here I'll catch on quickly.
Thanks!
Paul

Welcome to the group, Paul.
Thanks for the subject line - sure made me smile.
I am looking forward to reading more about your African Cichlid tank - when you get that set up. There are so many beautiful African Cichlids.
Cheers,
Judy

Hi Paul and welcome to the BEST Aquarist Forum online! Like you, I found American Aquarium Products while surfing the net and through there I discovered the EA Forum. I keep several freshwater tanks and have a Tank Blog on this forum about the ups and downs of setting up and running my 150 Gallon Oscar Cichlids. Perhaps it would help you a bit in setting and keeping your 100 g tank. Ameenah's Big Tank Blog
