I have other shrimp pics to share (if posted elsewhere, I can't remember where), but I took this one the other day (in the 10G) and thought you all would enjoy it. "He" was just hanging there with a piece of food,. But when I tried to get a better shot he went on the move, so I couldn't:

These pictures are of a couple of the Ghost Shrimp in my 10G: I thought I had a close up of the 1st picture, so will go back and make one.

I found the close-up in a different file: These next shrimp are in my 55G (the 1st one was taken before the gravel-change-over):

Wow! You really are good at taking pictures! -- very professional. I like all of your shrimp photos. My son has tried shrimp in his 20 gallon planted tank.... They always seemed to end up someone's dinner. Obviously, he was putting them in with the wrong fish. Definitely his fault.... not the fish's. He was only feeding his fish once a day (I scolded him for neglecting his "babies", of course...isn't that what Grandma's do?). Now that his girlfriend has taken over feedings, the fish eat twice a day --- and now look sooooo much better! Like a good Grandma, I have spoiled the Grand-fish with yummy new foods. My son will get some Aqua Master Mini in his stocking for Christmas - Exciting! He hasn't told me what he wants yet... so fish care products it will be (well.... along with gift certificates).

My 10G holds my shrimp through quarantine (except for the bamboo shrimp, which need a mature tank, with plenty of fine foods/micro-organisms so they don't starve while "settling in"), and if they are fairly small (I have the sales associates catch larger-sized Ghost Shrimp, if possible) they stay there instead of "graduating" to the Big Tank. The 55G has (at this moment) ~4 Ghosts, 2 Amanos, and 1 Bamboo Shrimp. They last time I picked up Ghost Shrimp they were only 3/4-1" long. When I went to get some the few times before, they only had tiny ones . Since they have to exist with adult angels in the 55G, I don't like to get them smaller than ~1". Occasionally the Ghosts die, or get eaten (usually during a molt), and I'm not usually too upset when this happens...I just wish they were also available as feeders around here (only sold individually for .39/.49) so when they are so small I could get a bunch as a treat for the other fish (we need a smiley licking it's lips!).
