Here are some shots of the Kleiner Bar (I showed the 1st 2 picts earlier, when discussing different plants. In the 1st one it is in the "center" of the photo, with the Anubias afzelli to its left): None of the newer swords have grown as tall as they were in their emersed form, but I know the should. I have been giving them extra Seachem Flourish (root) Tabs, but I don't know if they need more, or they just aren't comfortable in my tank.

Here are some pictures of my Hornwort (when it was doing much better--I have to get a pic of what it looks like now), and my Water Sprite... (this is the Water Sprite that did so well--I have since had to prune the large stems you can see.)

I like when the plants reach the surface, but if there is too much Water Sprite there, the flake food gets caught up in its leaves, and the fish don't always find it.
I'm going to try to get a few more photos of things in the tank. The most recent shot(s) are the 3 showing (3 of) the different "scenes" that I was able to chose from to take my photos.

I used to love it when my plants spread out on the surface. Unfortunately, as you've found they trap food and they end up being a magnet for decay.

The Cryptocoryne balansae has another new shoot. This is the 2nd shoot just showing up (bottom of picture, just in front of the mature plant on the left, between the glass and the gravel): Here the 2nd shoot is taller, and the 3rd one is pretty tall, too (plus a closer look at them):

A "couple" more reaching the surface: [Edit: I pulled the leaves out of the tank, stretching them out, and took some video; waiting to figure out how to get it to post.]

And finally, some Anubias. I had moved the Afzelii to the 10G, and placed the rest of my Barteri and Coffeefolia in here, instead. These show leaf damage from the snails:

The 2nd 2 pics were taken while I was in the process of working with my plants, and moving these Anubias to the tank (the 1st one is the same plants a little while ago when I temporarily moved them from the 10G during medicating): While I was in the process of doing this, the piece of wood in the 1st photo split apart, and I kept the one piece (seen in the 2nd 2 pics), put the Barteri on the rock the Afzelli hadn't wanted to attach to, and put the rest of the wood back in the 10G (where I used it to attach some Java Fern I had picked up at the 3-day sale--hopefully the Chocolate Rabbits and Nerites will leave it alone ). I'll post more picks once my newcomers have finished quarantine and move in .
