Filling out very nicely. There's just something about angles! There's something about straight lines too! lol Gotta love geometry! (You spelled angle instead of angel just having some fun with you since I do this too! ) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AngleCarl Ha ha, you haven't heard of an angle fish? Pretty neat, you should check into them

Great tank! Mine is a 55 gallon. The largest tank they allow at the apartments I where I live is a 55.gallon. You are also allowed to only have 2 pets. I have a cat, so the tank is my 2nd "pet". I did get permission to keep the quarantine tank up and running, but that may be because they didn't include fish tanks as pets when I moved in.
I love your Platinum angels. The one I had at one time died (along with all my other fish) one winter when we had an "ice storm" that knocked the power out overnight and all through the next day. I had just medicated earlier that day, too. I had some fish in quarantine, so I had to medicate the main tank. I'd never heard of "baths" at the time, and the only thing I knew about dips, was that they were used for saltwater. When I got my platinum (I named "her" Tiffany--turned out to be a male) he was about the size of a dime, and off-white in color, so I wasn't particularlly impressed with him. But as he grew up, he developed into a beautiful Platinum. Bonus: as he got around a year old (if I remember correctly) he developed some "diamond/pearl" scales! Turned out to be my favorite fish!
I love Black Ghosts, too. I never kept them, because they really need live food, which we don't have access too. They sell them anyway. The other thing I was/am concerned about, is that the only "Ghost Houses" you can get are too small. The largest I've ever seen was about 2 1/2 inches in diameter, and maybe 9 inches long.
I'd love to take some pictures like yours, but I don't really know how. I'm not good at picture-taking, and I've never used a digital camera before. Everytime I turn it on it starts "taking video"(?). I don't have an instruction manual. I took one of my tank, and a few of my fish, but the flash ruins the picture. Also, my gold angel "disappears" when I try to get her picture, but she really freaks out at the flash. The others aren't too, fond of it either, but they don't try to frantically "escape" like she does. Any advice? I am planning on getting a USB cable so I can upload my pictures. I inherited the tank (and camera) from my dad, and though it really isn't that old, there is no way to transfer pictures with out an external device. If my Dad had any before he died, I don't know about any/them.

My landlord is a fishkeeper, so he loves coming around to look at my tanks lol
I had a very fast death dealing nasty go through this tank recently, sadly it affected the angels only, so out of the 10 there are only 3 left, 2 are in this tank (they didn't get sick), 1 is still in the medicated tank (he has recovered, I'm just giving him a bit longer in the antibiotics). I will be gradually restocking back up to 10 angels as I can find some I like
The BGK doesn't get live food here, he gets flakes/pellets and frozen food, its doing really well on it. Housing is no problem, I can make it a cave to suit as required
I have an DSLR, with interchangeable lenses and settings galore. I do tend to use the preset functions for fish pic taking though, either sports mode or macro mode, FTS's are done in hand held night setting, and I only take pics at night, no room lights on, just the tanks lights & the flash is turned off (trying to use flash with my camera gets you a black pic lol) All my fish are used to me with the camera, I am snapping pics of them all the time

Hi Alasse,
I enjoy looking at your tanks. Even if we didn't change anything else, it seems like a planted tank is always changing. I have one water sprite that really took off (never could get a nice picture of it)--the stems on it are probably about a quarter of an inch thick. It keeps branching out near the surface (new plants) so the lower part of the plant is turning kind of brown now. I've removed a few stems along the way, but I think at this point, the next time I do my trimming, I'm going to remove the whole lower section--leaving the root system to hopefully send out more growth--and replant the new stuff, which is breaking the surface in areas. I get so many new shoots from all of my water sprite, that I don't know what to do with them all! I like the way the big one plant shades its section of the tank.
I also just noticed your Cryptocoryne balansae. I love that plant! The 1st time I tried to grow it (a few years ago) I didn't have any luck, but tried I again last fall, and the 2 plants that did "survive" are growing like crazy! When I got my Vals (Italian, Jungle and Red jungle) they were dying (roots dead) when I received them. I went ahead and planted them anyway, and a few of them started to regrow (after they all nearly disappeared), and one is pretty large now. I'm not sure which of the Jungles it is, but I'm going to try to get a picture of it--it is kind of "two-toned": the center of the blade is one shade, with the outside edges another.
