Hello
We were referred to this forum by our new friends at American Aquarium Products who were "there for us" during our entire 150 Gallon Tall tank set up. Their informative articles and knowledge of the products they sell gave us the courage to do our project.
I am glad to say we relocated our fishes to their (and our) 150 tall tank on the evening of 3-28-2014. It has been a very long 3 month process filled with self-education, product and fish selection, self-set deadlines that kept getting moved forward on the calendar and so much more.
We are filtering with SunSun 304b canister and v-1000 FSB filter running separate from each other. We opted for 2 300 watt Titanium Heaters and we chose to use 2 wet/dry air pumps with LED lights.
Our Chiclids are:
NEW WORLD:
Tiger Oscar
Albino Oscar
Albino Oscar with brown fins
Turquoise
AFRICAN:
Jewel
Electric Blue
All these Cichlids have been together since about 1.5 inch size and are currently 3-4 inch sizes. They are not aggressive toward each other at all - perhaps because they have been together for so long but we shall see what their adolescence will bring us.
PLECOSTOMUS:
Albino Bristle Noses
Orange Bristle Nose
Common Bristle Nose
all Plecostami were born in one of our 30-gallon tanks to a pair of Common Bristle Noses
we also have a 20-Gallon of Neon Tetras plus a female Dwarf Gourami
Being Aquarists is a constant self-education process for us as I am sure many of you already know. It seems also to easily become a case of "one tank is never enough" and dreaming of the next (larger) tank to acquire!
