Filipino blue angels are a marvelous fish. We have 2 and they're just awesome to look at.

Very beautiful choice of fish. As well, I forgot to mention that your cat is adorable! lol Going into the fish tank, looking at the fish. My two cats act like my fish don't exist! It is nice that your cat is more curious about the aquarium. Renee

Thanks guys!
The little Angels are toooo cute, really personable to boot. Didn't take them long to figure out how to beg for food, anytime anyone walks by the tank they gang up in front, begging for fishy treats.
Renee, Missy Clem doesn't take too much interest in the fish unless I leave the stool in front of the tank but Dr J(kitty head in the background) will sit and watch for a half hour or so at a time. He also watches TV, his faves are Nature and anything with birds on Nat Geo Wild. They were abandoned and found by a friend, she couldn't find homes for them and had to go out of town and they ended up here. What can you do, send them to the Pound to be gassed? I could rave for hours about responsible pet ownership but I'll spare you the agony....
Anyway, fish are doing fine, haven't found any dead bodies(who can count fish in a planted tank?) and are fed regularly. I hope to keep a breeding pair, it'd be fun to watch the babies growing up.
It's a fantastic experience just to be able to watch a little bit of an environment that's so foreign to our experience, makes me wonder why I haven't kept fish for all these years....
Best to all, Bill

One of my favorite things about them. They have so much personality. Mine are also very competitive, are yours?

Yeah, it's amazing to watch a couple of the not quite dime-size angels holding their own with a couple loaches and corys over a bit of leftover algae wafer. They're definitely spunky, I think the loaches will be less of a presence when the angels get up to half-dollar size. And they're great panhandlers too. Any movement in the room and they're front and center, ready for treats. Hard to resist... Best, Bill

We got a new angel her recently, it's smaller than a quarter. The other angels vary from silver dollar sized to almost 4" lips to tail.
They chase it but I haven't seen them nip at it. And it won't give up - it schools with them all the time.

Wow, that looks great! Baby angel fish have to be one of the cutest things ever. I got my Pierre (koi angel) when he was about the size of a quarter. Too cute!
