I know you can't see it real well in the pic..but on the lower part in front of the gill there is a red spot...Anyone know what this is? Should I be concerned? It looks like a blood spot...maybe you'd call it a red pimple looking thing.... Is this an illness of somesort?

This looks like a sore, the cause could be serious, but not likely. My personal opinion is to just watch and maybe add Melafix which acts as "Bactine" would for humans, but is otherwise not very strong and is quite safe and "inert". If this gets larger, then I would consider a MB/Salt Bath. If this appears to be inside the gill this would indicate a Gill Fluke. See: Aquarium Answers; Nematodes and TrematodesCarl

No, it is not inside the gill. It hasn't changed any. I tried to get a better angle at it but the fish would not oblige.

Well this is clearing up and is going away so it must have been nothing more then a sore!!! Thank goodness!!!
