Whenever I'm tank diving, kids either smile and wave or run away screaming. Strange, really...

Well, seeing as how I am currently without a fish to call my own, I sort of adopted one from the aquarium I volunteer at. Here he is: His name is Chum, and he's a six-foot nurse shark sweetheart. The day I took this picture, he let me pat him. Twice. :3 He is also very gentle during feedings (which he enjoys very much, as you may be able to tell by his girth, tee hee). I grew up with this shark. He's been there since I was six years old, and we grew at about the same pace. That probably explains why I'm so darn fond of him. Besides the fact that he's just a big ol' teddy bear of a shark. Anyhoo, yep, if you ever hear (or read) me mention my baby boy Chum, this is him. ^^

Sorry if I am asking too many questions, just curious Carl lol, thanks! ^^ Chum lives at Sea Center Texas, a little six-exhibit aquarium (plus the largest redfish hatchery in the world) in the sleepy little city of Lake Jackson. And he is...I'd say, twenty-three? So he's a few years older than me, but its still pretty close.

Sounds like a really nice shark. I'd even consider him cute by your description. I know nurse sharks (like him) have a bad bite/rep but are very placid creatures.

I as well enjoy nurse sharks. thet are reletively easy to keep healthy and they dont show the aggression of such sharks ast the black tip reef shark. they are also quite popular in private and public collections because they also have the stereo typical shark look. i think they are beautiful
