This is a pic of our club fish auction from yesterday. I am the club photographer and took quite a few. If anyone is interested in seeing some of them, I will post more in a separate thread. As you can see, we have tanks and plenty of bags of fish for sale. This is only about a third of the tables that were full of bags of fish. It wasn't as big as it usually is, we only had about 350-400 bags/items. Typically we get between 500 and 700 items. The name of our club is the Great Lakes Cichlid Society, but we sell everything at our auctions from pond plants to tropical aquarium plants and from goldfish to native fish to exotic tropicals and cichlids (of course). Clubs are a great way to increase your knowledge of whatever kind of fish you are interested in. If you live near a moderately large city there is a good chance that you will be able to find a club that specializes in "your" fish or group of fish. We even have a betta (pronounced bet-tah, not bay-tah) club here in Cleveland. Most clubs have speakers come in every month and give talks on various fish, spawning, plants, scavengers, etc. Look around, you will probably find one in your area. If not, start one..... John

I will start another thread with the additional pix. All of the pictures I post are linked to Photobucket. I resample them and put them in albums to send various places. John

You're so lucky John! I wish I had a fish club in my town! Unfortunately I don't and have to stick with petstores with little knowledge on fish. Glad to see that there's some fish clubs out there. never heard of them until recently.

Thanks Carl. But more of what I meant was selling my spawns and stuff. I don't have a fish club I could do that at. If I want to sell someone one of my fish, I will have to figure out how to properly ship it and find a person who wants it on my own, not by going to a convention.
And yes, I know I have you guys. I am very thankful for that. lol I think I was typing something and thinking something else so what I meant was different from what I wrote.
