I found this particular video, which when Renee had asked, she didn't understand about the excessive laws, found myself wishing I'd found this sooner. While the subject was about not talking to the police and how in so many ways it can screw you over, even being INNOCENT, about six minutes into this, I found an insane federal law, that could conceivably get a large number of us in deep kimchi with the law and not even know it. If you really think out the implications of this very broadly written law, it might cause you to sleep a little uneasy at night. video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-4097602514885833865&hl=enAgain about six minutes into this. Just a real shocker.

I am familiar with this law kind of. ignorance is never an excuse to break the law....but i have never heard of the gov`t going after people like us....i think i`d be in the worst trouble lol. this law is more set up to stop the illegal smuggling of all types of livestock and put an end to endangered tigers and stuff from coming here.

I agree Bike, but it's just scary how they leave that so vague and open and as well as they allow you to be prosecuted even if you didn't violate a law here, we'll nail you on some other country's law, and something Five mentioned when I listed this for the Fishlesscycling group, that most of those countries that make it illegal there, but not here, do NOT extend the USA the same courtesy for prosecuting their citizens under our laws.

That is pretty scary!!! I'm sure most fish could be illegal somewhere in the world. Good to have a heads up on this.

This seems to one of those cases of old statutes that need an overhaul and are out of date such (just an example): "It is illegal to walk on the south side of the street on Sundays"
My thoughts on this is this is not just a police or even DA problem, but that of responsible Judges that can see through wastes of tax payer money prosecuting someone for a Honduran Bony Fish Law. Unfortunately not all Judges are responsible or honest (as my brother who had his life destroyed by one and the DA).

Quite strange! It ought to be against the law to speak as quickly as that fellow... ;D Impossible to know every law.
