What are temperature requirements for java moss and java fern (and any other lowest light plants)?
What are names of plants that will live at room temperature (70-72F, 20-22C)?
Thanks.

I have a java fern that has just taken off! growing like a weed, and I need to know, is it safe to cut it? Its getting to big for my 14gallon tank, although I did take a piece of it to put in my 20 gallon and it just seem like it rotted, havent use anything with it in the other tank .. no ferts no dirt, nothing just stuck it under the gravel at first and that was it.. now I cant stop it! lol the water doesnt look to clear because i have bio lif in the tank but hopefully you can see it.

It's definitely ok to cut it! I have to trim something off mine about once a month. I cut the rhizome, not just the individual leaves. That way I've got some nice free plants for other tanks. When you plant the trimmings, make sure you aren't burying the rhizome, only bury the roots.
