Hey, tell everyone what you told me about how he acts when the weather is about to change. I think that's really neat. I guess they can feel the difference in barometric pressure somehow.

definately he is about 7 and half inches they are suposably only suposed to get 8 inches so hes pretty much full grown. and they also are supposed to burry themselves but mine never has he prefers to swim around in figure 8s across the glass and gets tired and likes to drape himself over anything and everything he can rest on hes soo lazy. but they are weather fish so when its about to rain or snow or get really hot hes darting like he just hit a hot fry pan so we always know when somethings up with the weather. apart from him not burrying himself hes really normal as far as the odd species of fish he is. definately entertainment. if you do get one of the goldens you should look into a decent sized tank so you can get a group of them they are community fish and dont like to be isolated but mine seems really happy with my albino cory cats.

I had a Weather Loach...we called him Lurch. He buried himself...and jumped out of the tank a couple of times...luckily I was standing at or near the tank when he did! He used to come to the surface and suck on my fingers...I had to give up my tank so a friend took him (the tank). He died 3 weeks later because he refused to eat. I was driving 22 miles round trip for the first two weeks because he would not eat...I could not keep it up because of time and gas. RIP Lurch!!!
I will be getting more for the 150g once I get it.

thats really weird was he a golden dojo or just a regular dojo? mine just wont burry himself im not sure if he doesnt know how or just rather be chilling on the gravel or letting the bubble wand float him up to the surface? hes very strange i thaught it was mainly just because he is a strange species but i guess hes even an odball for his species too. thats very interesting!

It's so funny how fish can have such individual personalities and not stick to the norms of their species.
