I personally have done quite well with all Rams, YET I have not had any breed for me (although I never made a real attempt). Anyway good luck with the fry! Carl

I can't wait to see what the babies turn out to look like, although with parents that gorgeous they're bound to be pretty! I'm no betta expert so I have to ask, is the mommy a half moon, too?

Congrats Curtis!!!
Do you have Vinegar Eels to feed the new born fry (I think Wally has some)? I'd stay away from Microworms and Walterworms (I only used them as an alternative if my VE or BBS did not produce enough. The MW and WW sink to the bottom and the fry learn to go down to eat and that causes the ventrals to be eaten away.

Hello Curtis....you said you are from Grand Prairie. Is that Alberta? If so, you are our third Alberta member to the best of my knowledge. I drive to Edmonton twice a week from Calgary. anything i can get here in calgary you may need just ask and i can deliver to edmonton if you can get there. There are some great fish stores here that have very many hard to find fish.

Hi Bike Guy Sorry I am from Texas. When I was In the Navy I spent a Vacation in Calgary Man I loved it there went to the (Not sure how to spell this) Cananascus Mountains it was fantastic saw wolves running threw camp actually went to a beaver pond and was first time I actually saw a tree line on a mountain and man that water coming off the mountain was so darn cold it was one of the most wild and beautiful places I have been to. The guy I went there with had a dual citizenship Pete Balkwill. Man I wish I did live there It is where I would probably be a totally diff person if I did AYE LOL I was doing that for like 2 months after my visit best 2 weeks Of My Life

Very nice. I found them pretty easily in the pictures. They look healthy and like they're doing very well. I'm just curious but what size tank are they in?

Their In a planted 10 gal right now. I was going to breed the bettas in a bare bottom tank but didn't get one set up before they spawned.

That seems like a nice size tank to breed them in. Back when I bred bettas, I did it in a 5 gallon. I had poor stock and it didn't go so well. The tank could have been bigger too I think. Sounds like you're doing well. Keep it up!

I like the idea of breeding in a 2.5g tank...moving to a 10g at 4 weeks (or when they are big enough to eat Grindals) to grow out...then Jar from there. That is what Wally, Igor and Ron (your PKs came from Ron) do! To bad my guys and girls did not like that idea to much LOL Congrats on the babies doing well! Keep up the bbs feedings! They will grow fast. You can also get Atison's Betta Pro and crush it up a bit and feed it...it is one of the best Betta foods out there...makes em' grow fast!
