Ouch, that's super expensive! I'm so lucky that we have such a variety of fish stores here. Hmmmm, well....ur......crap. I guess other than seeing if they will get you in some zebras at Petsmart, I'm fresh out of ideas.
How big is your clown loach now?

maybe 4" head to tail - he'll be good for a while (if he doesn't die if starvation - haven't seen a snail for weeks!) thanks K

I agree with this point by kamome. This too has been my experience with many Clown Loaches over the years. Obviously this can be different for others.
I currently have a small 1.75 inch clown Loach in a 14 gallon bio cube that is quite fat and growing from both snails and eating all fish that goes in as well. I plan to move him when the time comes that he needs more space, but for now he is doing well and eating the snails, so as long as he is happy, so am I

I'm glad your clown loach finally woke up! I bet it feels great to be rid of those snails. Some day I'm going to try the zebra loach. TFH had a nice article about them not too long ago. They almost sound too good to be true... (btw, thanks to your thread title, I now have the Monkees song stuck in my head! )

I love that song, too! Even the Smashmouth remake. I watched the Monkees everyday when I got home from school when I was a kid.

You seem a bit too young to have watched the Monkees when you came home kagome, were they in re-run? Not to date myself, but I do remember watching this show as a kid in the late 60s Carl

Just remember that they need to be in groups to be happy. Yeah, they did mention that in the article. I've got enough bottom-dwellers right now with my SAE and Flying Fox, so these guys are a long way down the road. (at least I hope so. I don't want anything to happen to my SAE and Mr. Fox!)
