thanks again everyone! Steph, you would have to ask that question - I have never seen this particular variety before - I almost called the store back - they are a stpired sunset of some sort....duh, huh? LOL! will let you know as I am anxious to remember as well

I think I see one of your blues - is that one in the picture with the clown loach and the yellow fish?
OR, is it way in the back of the platy tank?

yes Steph, that is an almost 3 year old female blue platy w/ the loach and the lab

She looks like a big girl!! My female is tiny compared to her, at least from what I can tell.

she's a big girl yes, but I find that the females tend to get large as they get olger - I've had and have a orange tuxedo female that were well over 3" long - they're usually beyond breeding by yhen, if they do have any it's usually only 2-3 - I retire them - usually end up w/ pairs for life - will be interesting having so many to start w/ this year - I got all those babies last year from 5 females - I have 14 females now.....
