One of the fish I thought was a female Kenyi, isn't. It's got the typical Mbuna body, blue color, but closer look reveals no bars/stripes on the body. Well looking around the tank last night, I see her in the open treasure chest, with the male Auratus, and they start spawning. That sick perv. Well can't blame him much, since she's as big a perv as him. She doesn't quite get enough of the Auratus, and then runs to the other side of the tank, the male Johanni sees her, and she starts spawning with him too!! I hate to say it, but I've got some real orgy style cross breeding action going on. I did relocate that damn Zebra who kept trying to spawn with the Peacocks, now the Auratus and Johanni are picking up where he left off. Most of these fish, I'm going to sell to Vinny since he keeps Mbuna and has numerous stores he can sell to. Damn pervs.

Are you sure they are pervs? Does not fit my definition, just a couple of fun loving fish IMO ;D Carl

You have a point Carl, but cross breeds like this ugggg. Makes me have to keep even more of a close eye on the tank to make sure no wrong hanky panky going on, lest I end up selling to someone and they get some weird looking offspring a few months down the road calling me back saying what the hell did you sell me LOL.
I am SO happy though to tell you, that I've now found an outlet to weed out most of these common types. I want to breed the Kenyi though, just to do it before I get rid of them. I am finding as well, most of those 15 or so flavus that are closing in on a year old, are mostly male too. They will flash their colors when their dad isn't around and then subdue them when he shows up. I can see at least 4-5 males in this group.
The TR female holding 16 days now, is going to be going to the 15, so I'll probably have some fry shots comming later this week of those. Cross the fingers her spawn will be as large as the last one, 65. The Obliqedin I had holding aborted, but I look again, I found another holding, can see a nice pile of eggs too.
The male Pytcho, is going back to his chill out mode. Sits up near the top of the tank, hardly doing much of anything, but the female I got from Vinny, is quite egg laden. If he gets back into form, I expect a nice sized spawn from them as soon as he gets his act together.

Good news on your other fish!
I certainly understand your reasons as you state in the above quote.
