I finally got some pictures of my 30. They didn't turn out quite as well as the ones I accidentally deleted, but you can get the idea. As I was looking as them, the blue background makes the tank look pretty stark. One of these days, I'll have to get a more interesting background. (or it'd at least be nice if I could get my swords to grow again!) Anyway, here they are: Here's one of my cories, my SAE, and some of the Celebes Rainbows. The crypt luteas are bouncing back better from my algae outbreak then the amazons are. I think I'm eventually going to have to give up on them. This was sold to me as a sagittaria, but I've been wondering if it's actually a Val. Anyone have any idea? Whatever, it is, I love how they get twisty as they grow! More rainbows, a head and tail light tetra, and the biggest sissy scissortail rasbora ever. I think he's afraid of himself!

I think it looks nice with the blue background. When your plants get bigger it will be a nice balance of color. Nice fish too!!!

Hi BG,
Yes, you are correct, those are not sagittaria, they are indeed a valisneria. It is called "corkscrew val."
Very nice looking tank and great camera work, the pix are nice and sharp and well lit. Good job.

Thanks everyone! I really like the Vals, I think I'm going to get some more someday. I'll keep the amazon that's in the middle of the tank, it's a little bigger, but I might replace the swords on the sides with more Vals and then the sides will have a nice balance.
Maybe I could move some java fern down there in the meantime. That right side looks so bare to me.

Alright, let me try this again. I posted this earlier in this thread and it's like it never existed. Weird. OK. I took some new pictures of my 30 gallon with the new water wisteria I put it over the weekend. I'm still fighting a bit of algae, but I don't think it looks too bad. Besides, it give my fox and SAE something to do.

John, the blue platy (that turned out to be a boy) is the one that I lost last month to what I think was the same belly problem that my tetra has in the other thread. He got sick just before my grandma died and by the time everything calmed down, it was too late for me to do anything for him. I feel really badly about it. It was just terrible timing.

Thanks Carl! I've been thinking I may need to move one of the kribs. The other two were picking on him really mercilessly for a while there, but it seems to be better. i have to figure out what genders I have here, that should help me figure out what to do!

Ok, so I think I've got 1 male and 2 females. The male and 1 female seem to be hitting it off quite well, but the other one is sad and lonely and picked on. This weekend I will dig out my 5 gallon and move her into it while I figure out what to do. Does anyone think she'd be ok in my 50 gallon? I know the pleco and cories won't be a problem, and I doubt the Colombian tetras would be as well. My question marks are the Siamese Algae Eater and my angel. Since the krib is more of a bottom dweller, my hope is that the angel won't be a problem, but sometimes he hangs out in the bottom looking around for stuff. I've never seen the SAE cause problems for any of the other fish, but the others were already established in there when I added him, so I'm not sure how he'd handle new fish. Back when he lived in the 30 gallon, he never caused any issues for new fish...

I do not think that your female Kribensis will have a problem in the 50 gallon, especially if you have plenty of hiding places near the bottom The question for me would be the Angel, as I have had some rather territorial angels, especially when by itself I might suggest introducing using a breeder net Carl
