I brought Finn home from work on Thursday, much to the dismay of my coworkers. Talk about guilt trips! Here he is in his slightly bigger tank. He seems to be settling in just fine. The only problem is that he seems to be getting eye cloud or something. This happened a few weeks ago and I treated with Melafix and it cleared up. I noticed this week that it was starting to come back. I guess I'll treat it again with M-fix. It's a very small spot, and hopefully the meds will help. Plus it's so much easier to maintain the tank at home than it was at work. I did weekly water changes, but not much else. Anyway, here he is! I posted a pic back in January when I first bought him, but he has grown a bit and his fin colors are really pretty now, I think.

Nice betta! I love green bettas becuase I hear they it is pretty rare to find bettas with the green colors and red fins like their wild counterparts. When a betta dies, I always have to make sure it isn't green. Unfortunately 2 of my green female bettas have died in the past few months.... Both were only a year old....

Thanks! I took your camera advice, eve, and figured out how to turn on the red eye thing. It definitely makes a big difference. Thanks again for the tip!

and lot's of deleting of pics on the memory card Seriously! Where would all of us "amateur" fish photographers be without digital?!!? It would be so disappointing to pay 7 bucks (or however much) to get pics developed only to see nothing but blurred fish shapes and/or obnoxiously bright flash reflections.

Tank looks very nicely laid out for Finn Steph and the colors you have in there look very nice as well. I have a feeling Finn is a very happy fish under your care.

just to add a lil to the pic thing..to avoid " flash burn" on glass when your flash is unmovable is to tape a lil piece of toilet paper over the flash. it will almost completely get rid of the hotspots, it will soften the light and will also help with the shadows on the side of an image. works great....try it.

huh, that's a great idea. I've tried covering the flash with my hand, but actually got burnt that way! Ouch! lol I generally have to wait till it's night time to take pictures...I tell you someday I'm going to have a really good camera THEN take pics:)
