Here is another picture of my new little platy girl. I just love how iridescent she is. She's now living in my 10 gallon with 6 white clouds until I'm confident that she is big enough to move into the 30. She seems to have grown a bit just in the week and a half since I bought her! Just for fun, here is an updated picture of the 10 gallon.

very nice setup just a little tip on the side if you don't want to have the flash, try putting it onto against red eyes, also try different angles when taking the shots

Thanks everyone! John, I'm so glad you know about blue platies, because I keep going back and forth about whether or not she is, simply because she's so pink right now. I had no idea they went through so many color changes as they grew. Not that I would like her less if she were a different color, but I never ever see blue ones and they are so cool!
Thanks for the tip, Eve. I'll have to check my book about the red eye thing. Do you mean turn the red eye thing on or off? I actually have no idea how my camera is set for that. I was trying weird angles to minimize the flash, but they all turned out blurry, or I just ended up with a shot of tail fin, lol.
Renee, you're .

if you have a digital camera, you should have different settings for flash, as well as many other settings just play around with them as for red eye, i meant setting the flash in the red eye setting which will shorten the flash period
hope that makes sense

Beautiful tank, love all the green stuff! Those are real plants, right? Not to answer for Babygeige, but I know she has been VERY successful with her live plants (I am impressed), so yes these are live plants. Carl

Thanks for answering for me Carl (and for the nice comment). It's been a rough week and I haven't been around. And thanks Theoden for the tank compliment. I've had much better luck with the plants in my 10 gallon than I have in my 30, hence lack recent pics of the 30. I've been having an uphill battle in that one. The 10 is the one I like to sit and stare at.

I don't have any new pics, but I just wanted to update on my blue platy. I think "she" is actually a "he!" As he's getting bigger, the male whatever- it's- called is starting to show up.

Cool, all my young males look like females even after they have some coloring. Then they grow out their fins and their gonodium develops(hope I spelled that right). Then they start chasing the females to try to breed or even try to mate with each other. XD I seriously think fish have impluse control problems such as with food, breeding, etc. especially my guppies! XD
