Just a pair to start out with Brenda, but Vin's got a tank chuck full of small juvies, plus now I know where he gets his from. Store up in Gardenier NY and I talked to Peter Rubin, the owner a few weeks ago. This guy, with of course a hefty price tag, has a good supply of various wild caughts too. These guys stay small, and fairly peaceful as the Fulu usually chase them rather then get chased. Btw, I can't get a good shot of it, but I have a Fulu starting to color up now!!! I see a little red emerging just behind his gill and he waves his tail at the others, I am assuming is female. I haven't actually bought anything from Peter yet and why I am not listing this just yet under online and local sources, but you can scan over his listings. cichlids.net/East Coast Cichlids is going to have a tour of this facility at the end of the month.

Thanks Brenda. I am considering advocating the Yellow Bellies as a smaller tank type actually. Given the size they get, just about 3-4 inches max, this is a fish that could be well suited for 30 gallon tanks.
Vin's got some more stock in as well as some maturing Hongi. I'll replace the Kenyi with Hongi, to me that's a big step up.

Lookin good Jon...What species are the white peacocks?

Apparently, much like OB's, these aren't a true species. I was just looking around at the fish and trying to see if the Peacock I brought over was going to mate for him, but I checked again this morning, it's like an OB, it's hybridized to bring out a certain color. What it's crossed with I don't know but I started picking up ideas how to see who's crossed with what when you see a hybrid by looking at how close it takes on certain features. I'm working on narrowing down what's in this Peacock, but it's a very translucent white and I also picked up a second which we think is a female. The vent is very close in size that it's hard to tell if male or female because there isn't a dramatic difference that stands out.

I've taken a few shots over the last few weeks, some I just found too good to not post. Even with the aggressive "death from above" Jardini in the 180, there still is frolic and fun to be had in tank 180. But even with all this fun, danger still lurks in this tank from that Jardini who's thinking he's Jaws of late. So much so, the largest of my Haps is reduced to playing hide and seek with his son. And nope, he will NOT come out either. This was the straw that broke the camel's back though and why the Jardini has to go. Had a pair of these, and poof all gone, can't find them anymore. Some of the Peacocks and the lone Socoloffi that I'm trading out, from the 75 gallon tank The regular female Taiwan Reefs whom the male Albino has yet to show any interest in them at all The holding Zebra Obliquedin, 1 week ago, then tonight. She's going to get taken out sometime this week. I can reach better into the back of this tank now with this cam. The Pytchochromis Oligocanthus male setting up shop in the 180

Your pics are much better with the new camera It is sad about your Venustus Jon, these were nice shots of him "playing" in the treasure chest. Have you found a home for your Jardini Arowana? I know a previous client of mine in So. CA may be interested if you are willing to ship. Carl

At this point Carl I probably would, but that's going to raise up the price a bit. I would assume that if they are going to take this fish, they probably aren't bashful about spending money, since they are a client of yours too. I have an offer for 150, but the guy wants me to bring it to Baltimore, which I'm not too happy to do. I have another waiting to hear back from, willing to come up from Cherry Hill NJ, for 125, but they haven't answered since this weekend.
I could sell to your client for 100 since they are your client Carl, but have to add cost of shipping which is likely to bring it back to 150, which I think is fair. If you feel differently, please don't be afraid to say. I just want to get this fish out so there is less stress. I think that was contributing to the Columnaris flaring up.

I wouldn't try to ship at the size of this fish too, without using Hypno either. I can probably get some Hypno from Vinny, I need to see him this week anyways. All the shippers I talked to, Peter Rubin from Atlantis fish farm, Vinny, and a few local ones, all say use Hypno to keep the fish calm. I'd want to use overnight as well, though I think a small dose of Prime in the bag should keep any nitrogen compounds well taken care of. Getting a heater pack too isn't overly difficult. I have a small styrofoam "cooler" if we should call it that, basically a very large styro box and a large bag I could get the Jardini in.
Shipping it wasn't something I wanted to consider, but at this point I will have to, so if they use Paypal Carl, if they want, I can give the address to send that too, but I think you have mine, I can get a shipping quote, and get a final price if they want. If you talk to them, you tell me they will take it, I'll cancel the auction and let them take it and ship. I know Lotje though, because we had a buyer change their mind on me a couple years ago on the group of South Americans I had, after we drove 2 hours to meet them, so she's going to say as long as they pay first. If by some chance it turns into a DOA, if they can just give me the unopened bag picture, I'll take care of it for them.

Technically they are no longer a client of mine, and I have nothing to gain other than connecting two persons to find a nice fish a home. Once interested, I can connect with Gregg (who owns my old business) and then provide you with a shipping address once paid. I would recommend overnight Fedex which may cost $75 plus for 10 lbs. I could send you a Fedex label so all you have to do is drop off the "package" Just let me know, as well I am not even sure if they are totoally interested. Carl

I have it up on aquabid and nycichlids Carl, but if your client/former client wants the fish, I'll take it down and send to them. If the shipping label helps move this along, even better, BUT there is something about Fed Ex that makes me worry. I tried to bring a shipment one time to a drop off center and was closing the box there. They saw it was fish and said there is restrictions on them accepting this package and wouldn't take it, yet I've gotten fish in from Fed Ex numerous times. I'd prefer not to use Fed Ex because they are a bunch of bungholes. I sat there with a manager on the call center and explained to them, they ship fish every single day, why am I being singled out...typical stupid answers, so Fed Ex isn't exactly on my Christmas Card list. If you have any trade secrets to get around this let me know. If they want it Carl I'll send. If someone else gives me an offer and will pick up between now and when I hear from you, I'll do what I can. I'm happy to give priority to the person you know.
