what a surprise i was out today, and came back when i looked in my tank, i suddenly see little tiny fry 55 gallon tank planted 1 pair kribs 6 giant danios 6 silver tipped tetras 2 kuhli loaches 1 bristlenose pleco 2 submersible filter for up to 30 gallons 2 submersible heaters 1 bubble wand with 20 gallon pump medium sized gravel lot's of plants decorations slate pieces spriulina flakes being fed every other day shrimp pellets fed every other day for the bottom feeders water change was done on january 10th 2009 ammonia and nitrite 0 nitrate below 10 ppm ph is around 7.6-7.8 Temperature 80 F added a few plants on jan 13th added Co2 on jan 13th, which means i disturbed the tank quite a bit i saw aggressive behavior against the other fish, where the krib pair just chased all the others away from their right corner they where also digging out the gravel under a slate piece before i did the water change i never disturbed that are though and now i have some krib fry will try to get some pics from them, which is very hard none of the other fish are able to get closer then 10 inch to them, or the female chases them away they're both extremly protective of their fry at the moment they're about 5 mm long, i assume they're about a day old still a bit of an eggsack on their tummy, but most of it already absorbed

Awesome! I hope to see pictures, but I do understand the challenges of taking pictures of fry. Congratulations!

thanks guys for me, every time i get as lucky as to have fry's, i think it's important to really keep track on what the parameters are if they don't survive, at least you have an idea where to look or what to look for to make it better the next time around yes, those fry are really a challenge to get a pic of first of all they're really tiny, which shouldn't be a problem, and wasn't a problem for me before but my challenge is the light gravel, i even have a hard time to spot them, as they're kinda see through, and they're hiding all the way in the back, right behind a plant, even harder i will see what i can do, as i really don't want to disturb them to much, and the male hates his picture being taken, lol so far i have seen 8 of them

Nice video. I like how your lighting brings out the colrs on your fish and decorations! I did notice a little voice in the background noise and I must say it's a cute one! lol

I am a little late commenting here, I am sorry that you lost the fry, but I still enjoyed the video. Nice colors and activity in the tank, as well I enjoy hearing your family in the background too Carl
