Hello again Bloodfin tetra had what originally looked like she had scraped her "nose" but now flesh seems to be eating away? And today I noticed her eyes are slightly bulging. I noticed it last Saturday as a white area on her face, looking closely with magnifying glasses I did not see any cotton or fuzz so thought she scraped it on something. Her color and activity and eating have all been normal. Today she seemed a little worse off so I put her in a breeder box so I could get a better look at her and videoed her. I was planning to apply Merbromin but am concerned about getting it in her eyes, will that be a problem? I will also give her a methelene blue and Epsom salt bath And what else should I do for her, any idea what this might be? 20g tank 75 degrees F ammonia 0 Nitrite 0 NitrAte <20 PH 7.4 KH 40 GH 300 Regular Wonder Shell in tank New fish added 3 weeks ago and all have been fine until her 4 bloodfins 4 female Bettas 10 Pygmy Cory's (These were added in 2 different groupings a week apart) 4 Rummynose Tetras have been in tank 2+ yrs Had a GBR & 6 WCMM's get sick & waste away all died inspite of treatments leaving tank down to the 4 Rummy's and 1 pygmy cory but that was 5 months ago. I waited to be sure the remaining fish stayed healthy and was just building up the stocking levels again. As always open to suggestions and very appreciative of your advice! photos.google.com/photo/AF1QipPsMUXdBxpTB6HJ1hrcPpc5MWi6hQQsblwk-kPHphotos.google.com/photo/AF1QipPsMUXdBxpTB6HJ1hrcPpc5MWi6hQQsblwk-kPH

I could not view the link For these fish, only 1/4 to 1/2 at the most Regular Wonder Shell should be used in a 20 gallon aquarium Apply the AAP Wound Control/Merbromin directly to affected areas at full strength for best results You might switch to Erythromycin (best as AAP Myacin which is the most effective formulation of Erythromycin) or Doxycyline (Fin & Body Cure) Make sure to do water changes between treatments, which is a bit difficult with the Furan 2/Kanamycin combination since they are on difference schedules Resource: www.americanaquariumproducts.com/Aquatronics.htmlCarl
