Does look really nice! Good job and good idea about removing the filter.

The emperor filter was thrown onto my 20 gallon long, it’s a bit overkill on such a small tank, but it saves me from buying a new filter for that tank. As for my 40 Breeder, I suddenly went to a betta sorority for it. I have 7 females in the tank, I added a bit more tanks and re-scaped as I had added 2 more today(was at 5). They are bickering with each other but nothing all to serious. The betta types are dumbo, rosetail, Halfmoon, koi, and veil. I also gotten a calico bristlenose, the pleco and 2 bettas were a gift.

I haven’t done a water change in nearly two months due to a shoulder injury. I decided to do a small water change on it today. My left shoulder is fine to do heavy lifting but my right shoulder is the one I had hurt. But least I managed a small one.

My doctor wants to order an mri if my shoulder still hurts.. the past day or so I been in a lot of pain. My shoulder radiates pain down my arm and into my neck at times. Sadly if the doctor sees anything in my mri.. he may want to do surgery, which is something I want to avoid.

I been dealing with this shoulder pain and injury for almost two years. Originally injured it in 2018 at work to re-injuring it in December ‘19. It’s been hard to do things that don’t cause me pain.

I did an overhaul of my 40’s scape. I removed the old gravel and replaced it with eco-complete. I trimmed down my stem plants as they were taking the tank over. My favorite tetras are bow out and about, they were at one point hiding, but came out to eat. All the fish in the tank are eating and are active.

Rescape looks really nice. I like the new wood and how it's centered in the tank.

Never had an issue with growing plants and normally don’t really add things to my tank. I have well water and have no chemicals in my water. My rams are doing really well. They aren’t hiding and actively seeking out food. Often with well water in particular, if just small water changes are performed frequently, mineral Cations will be supplied

My plants are growing fast, a bit to fast. I have to trim them back once a week or every other week. My nitrates don’t go over 40ppm. My well water has 1-2 ppm of ammonia, still not sure why, but it doesn’t seem to bother the fish. The bacteria eat it up quickly, I do use Prime to help with that ammonia issue. Did a resent water test on the tank. Results were Ammonia 0ppm Nitrites 0ppm Nitrates 10-20ppm I did a 50% water change about 2 weeks ago.

What are your well water numbers including GH & KH (wait an hour to "gas out")?

I treat my well water with prime and haven’t had any issues with doing that. I already know I have hard water and the fish seem to be fine and the shrimp and snails thrive in it. I have a 4-5 year old nerite snail and he’s still going.

It would be interesting to know if there's ammonia in the well water. Think that would be really rare, don't know why there would be that much. The plants would love the ammonia. Plant food. Still a little concerning for the fish.

Still a little concerning for the fish. I test my well water and it has 1 ppm of Ammonia. It was higher back in December. But when added to the tank the ammonia doesn’t stay long and converts to nitrates quickly.

I been dealing with a sudden mass death. But before this happened the breaker fuse tripped 5 times on one os of my house, and my tank is on that fuse. The tank is in the hallway in front of my door, there is two spare bedrooms which are rarely used. Had family over and two a/c units were put into the windows. That caused the fuse to trip. Since then I been loosing fish, I so far lost 15 fish in 3 days, lost 12 in 24hrs. None of them fish were showing signs of illness or anything else. The remaining fish are eating then I find a few dead..

I added 6 Neons and 6 Green Neons and an angel, lost two of the Green neons during the night, a little over a month ago. I also added a purple GloShark a few weeks ago. I’m looking to add more neons or maybe cardinals to the tank and a few more corydoras to up the remaining 4 that survived what happened.
Current stocking as stands: 1 angel 1 GloShark 6 Neons 4 Green neons 1 Clown pleco 4 Corydoras 2 Black Kuhli Loaches/Java Loaches 4 Amano Shrimp and 1 Bamboo Shrimp
