My stock has changed out quite a bit. I am rehoming my angel, he has gotten aggressive with my other fish.
So far my stock is: 1 blue Gourami 14 Neon tetras(the Cardinals 8 special ordered at the lfs all died before I got them) 4 Black Kuhli loaches 6 mixed male guppies 1 clown Pleco(couldn’t get a twig catfish so the clown was the next best thing) Dwarf Crayfish(from a 3 gallon tank that recently leaked) Pair of Blue rams
Going to add 2 more kuhli loaches, 2-4 more Neon Tetras, and maybe a group of pygmy corys or another bottom dweller.

Ya, angels tend to be territorial. Gourami could be sometimes too.

I suddenly lost all but one of my neons, they were eating and acting fine. I did turn the heat up, guessing that had done it. I had to do a ich treatment cause my guppies got it. No I don’t have a hospital tank. Wish I did, but no where to put one. I may turn my 20 long into one, which is currently my betta tank. But I can get 2.5 gallon tanks or 5.5(dividing them in half) for my bettas. But still thinking on that.

Heat can also drive oxygen out of the water, so you want to always have good flow.

I do have an Emperor 400 running on the tank. It’s weird, the other fish are fine. But I did turn the temp back down to 80/82. I found out I have one lone Neon tetra, going to rehome him.

I just done a 25% water change on the tank and going to do a 10% tomorrow. One of my rams died, they were starting to show signs of breeding, I lost the male. He was a ballon/stunted ram. I’m just bummed out.

I’m just bummed out. Sorry to read this. Blue Rams can be very difficult Water changes are a good idea, make sure the parameters of new water is not far from target parameters so as to stress the fish. Consider using AAP Req-Q with ALL Water Changes too, especially with delicate fish. Resource: www.americanaquariumproducts.com/Aquatronics.html#resqRegards; Carl

Apparently he’s a philippine blue, either a zebra or silver. But he’s a good find to say the least. He’s now out and about, eating and exploring the tank.

I was going to say, those look like Filipino blues. We had a lady here that bred them, at one time I had 2 or 3 of them.

But I sadly lost my angel, No idea what or how. Fed them this morning he ate a bit was Was dead by Noon. He ate very little, not sure what he was fed in the LFS, he ignored flakes and would pick at the shrimp pellets I fed my loaches and catfish. Could he have starved? I checked him for any signs of illness on him but nothing I could see was wrong with him. Water teated as 0 ppm Ammonia 0 ppm Nitrites 20ppm Nitrates

I've had hit or miss results with Angels. I've gotten some and they do great, then another batch and most pass away. The way I kept them were the same. If he was eatting for a while, it was likely not something you did, but maybe the stress of the move to a new tank.

The last three from my 55 gallon did great till the tank leaked. I had one angel for around 8 years before I had to euthanize her. She was smashing her head into the tank’s glass and hood, she also stopped eating., and I treated her for parasites but it was to late. But since then any Angelfish I gotten either died for no reason or was bad stock. Luckily my stepmom managed to get me a new angelfish to replace the one I lost for free!

I was organizing my files and photos tonight and found some old pictures of my Filipino angels. Ironically, I lost the last of mine when my 55G tank sprung a leak. Crazy. ... ...
