Freshwater Electrolytes For Tropical Fish

Hi Everyone,

I apologize in advance if the information that I'm requesting is to be found elsewhere on Everything Aquatic. I have searched but not found what I'm looking for. And that is recommended electrolyte concentrations in the water column of freshwater tropical fish. Specifically, sodium (Na+), potassium (K+), magnesium (Mg2+), calcium (Ca2+) and chloride (Cl-). I realize that electrolyte concentrations will vary according to fish habitat. Replicating the natural waters of South American dwarf cichlids is of particular interest.

I agree with the links Devon provided.

Exact concentrations are generally lower in the Amazon, but these electrolytes are generally still present in similar ratios as in areas with higher concentrations.

This article explains this too, and gives some recommendations based on the assumption that rations are similar, it is simply that concentrations change
