This post is for Carl. Carl, you had mentioned in previous post that True Life Spectrum's Goldfish food had very high Kcal points (over 500). but when I did the calculation demonstrated in Devon's video I totaled 333 points. What did I do wrong? Protein – 36% Fat – 5% Fiber – 6% Moisture – 10% Ash – 8 % Total – 65% Missing starch….35%
36 x 4 = 144 5 x 9 =45 35 x 4 = 140 1 x 4 =4 333 kcal pointsYouTube link: www.youtube.com/watch?v=wH0p2XAhPjwThanks in advance! Greg Attachments:

This is correct. The NLS food over 500 is a different one for tropical fish (it is usually tropical fish food diets that are much too high here)
This said 333 is still too high and more importantly the fiber content is only 1/3 what it should be, especially for grazing fish such as goldfish
I stand by NLS being one of the most over rated fish foods on the market today. Something I have noted over my decades in the industry, including attending many trade conventions is the companies that market to mass merchandisers and not professional sellers are usually the junk products. NLS has done just this
