Orinoco the festae took a turn for the worst when I stopped the meds after the first round. The gill flukes or body flukes or both (which are just being kept in check by the general cure and daily baths) seem to have a resistance to the meds but not fully. That's where I am having trouble. I do not want to help the future flukes by giving meds that don't work and switching. The fish was easily overcome by the parasite in 2 days. Should I switch meds? When? How? What new med would be best? I was finding that the ammonia spikes were made worse by the filter (I used the seasoned media method) and I removed it. He changed back to recovering when I did so. His color is starting to normalize and there is no rapid or heavy respiration since. I have been posting his updates in my facebook group (mostly for reference for myself) and the unsolicited advice that is not even correct is making this challenging. It's been almost a month that I have had this fish. Let me know if there is a missing piece in the story that would help. Thanks, Amanda
