Could I hook up a Rio Pump to my gravel cleaner? If yes, what is the best model to do the job? This is for draining the water into the sink. The pythons waste too much water and the suction isn’t all that great anyway? Head pressure will be about 7 feet. So I need a strong enough pump to overcome that, but not too strong to drain the water out too quickly.
Thanks!

I would think it can be done, but I would consider a ball valve. I would think it would suck up gravel to hard and pull it through the line. I would go with a little larger pump and ball valve it down if need be. Rio 1700 would be my recommendation www.americanaquariumproducts.com/RioPlusPumps.html#1700

Thanks Devon! I'll give it a try soon. I usually just drain the water outside but the bugs will be flying around soon, almost Spring. I almost want to drill a small hole in the door just so I don't have to leave it cracked while I'm cleaning my tanks. LOL.
