I found the instructions and set my dropbox back up to post images here. It looks as if I was successful. Please help us to help this little guy. We have not been able to identify this condition. Thank you!

It actually was present before our mass deaths. And so far it's been over 2 weeks since we have suffered any further losses from the contamination issue.

Think Carl made a good recommendation. I honestly cant see from the picture, so I would say Cyst from the description.

It is definitely part of the fish's body as the bubble looks like a sac that is made from its fin, with a little darkened patch immediately above on the fish's body (like inflammation, and/or a blockage). I figured if it were a blockage, by now the fish would not have survived. We are improving the quality of their diet in the very near future, just waiting on the order to arrive. So you believe we can locally treat the area?

Carl, Boundava on Aquatic Community Forum also believes it is a prolapse. Is it treatable at all?

I tried to make a better close up. Not sure if this helps.

Carl, Boundava on Aquatic Community Forum also believes it is a prolapse. Is it treatable at all? Unfortunately often not I would follow my advice from earlier in the thread: "There little that can be done other than what I already noted. Surgery is one treatment, but his is not easy. Often mild topical treatment along with perfect water conditions and a quality diet will help. Consider using FD Brine Shrimp enhanced with Spirulina as an addition to a good diet such as Clay Neighbors Custom Crumbles"I would add to this make sure your optimal water conditions do not just include the basics like ammonia, but a balance Redox too Carl

No, Devon, we have never fed our fish any fry. (And thanks so much for the videos, by the way! I've been watching them to learn more about aquarium health.) We are waiting on our order from your company to improve the food and add the Wonder Shells. So for the topical treatment, do you mean Methylene Blue? And do you net the fish and apply with a dropper? Thank you both!!

Someone offered that people have been successful with an Epsom salt bath or withholding feeding temporarily. Have you heard of these methods to treat this condition?

So glad the videos are helpful! We're trying to get more resources for people who prefer videos over articles!

SICK FISH: Oh, duh, sorry, no, it hadn't had any fry. OK, thank you. Do we have any idea how often to apply the methylene blue?
VIDEOS: And, yes, the videos are a great supplement to the articles since we can absorb the information from multiple formats in different ways (well, you know what I mean). Thanks again for the videos. I will share them with my husband very soon since he is on board with improving our aquarium (he is the one who started it years ago).
