Question about combining SeaChem Stress Guard with Kanaplex

Question about combining SeaChem Stress Guard with Kanaplex.
Since StressGuard ‘seeks out wounds… or places where exposed proteins are’...

I was wondering if you pre-mixed StressGuard w/ Kanaplex, Would this combination aid in getting Kanaplex to the desired targets?

These two should safely be combined.

I would however combine in the aquarium, not in a mix before adding.

While I have no tests to confirm that StressGard will improve effectiveness of Kanaplex, in theory the protein active colloidal agent in StressGuard actively seeking out any wounds, abrasions, or places where exposed proteins are and attaches to this area to help directly deliver the disinfectant.
This should in turn make for a stronger fish whereby the Kanaplex does not have to "work as hard" to be effective.

Glad to see you in the forum. I agree the two should just be dosed normally in the aquarium and not try to combine the two. I think Carl's thoughts are a good idea of what might happen.

I was just reading the great write-ups on different med s and combos that work together and was curious, If the combo of Kanaplex would bond with the Stress Guard to attack the intended target.
It would be interesting to see results from testing to see if this is the case. I will take your suggestion and dose normally.

I have doubts that combining these prior to introduction will improve effectiveness. If cat, if I fully understand the mechanisms of each works, I think combining would render the StressGuard less effective since it is a protein active colloidal agent acting upon the fish
