One of the things in our area is the lack of information you find here. I would like to visit the 6 Pet stores in our area and talk to the managers about AAP. The items you sell are not sold here in our LPS so there is no conflict of interest. The goal would be to get AAP web site address to the local people seeking answers. I found AAP because I figured out that most of what I was being told was either half truth, partial truth or totally wrong. Because of all of you at AAP, I have increased in knowledge of the hobby I love so much but most of all... My Aquarium environment has become stable for my fish. I could have lost a lot of fish to the recent outbreak of Columnaris if I hadn't already read the article; www.americanaquariumproducts.com/Aquarium_Disease.html and then ask questions here on the E A forum. Because of the article; www.americanaquariumproducts.com/Columnaris.html I recognized the infection in time to start treatment. The things I have purchased here at AAP I didn't even know they existed for the Aquarium hobby. I am still waiting for them to arrive here. My Vecton 2: V2 200 8 Watt is due to arrive here today... I am so excited to add this feature it my hobby. Any ideas to boost your business I am willing to do. I don't want anything to happen to AAP because I need AAP to be apart of my hobby... Richard

Thank you Richard for all the positive energy you provided toward getting out what AAP is all about We have never attempted to be everything to every fish keeper, but to have unique information that is constantly updated too. As well as many unique products. The updates I think are key, as I have read many other good articles elsewhere, but I have seen few if any web sites that update as often to keep the content accurate & fresh. As well many are corrections to when new information or poor wording makes some part of an article less than accurate. I cannot tell you haw many times I have contacted other websites such as about.com about incorrect information either to usually not get a return email or get blown off. Ditto the companies we support tend to have this same reaction. Devon has sent out emails to manufacturers of some key aquarium/pond products to help sponsor our articles or Everything Aquatic, only to not get even one response as yet. Richard, I think what you are doing going into these stores is what we need as well as persons standing up for what we offer in many of the large forums with little moderation Carl

Thank you Carl... I talk a lot, as my wife reminds me, so it is easy for me to talk to total strangers as if I have known them for a long time. Today I went to Indianapolis to get another CO2 tank. The salesman asked me what I did with CO2... and it became a 30 minute discussion. He told me his dad did Saltwater tanks for years and that he wanted to learn the hobby but it was difficult to learn without someone to teach him. So.... I turned him on to the AAP website and suggested to start with a planted Aquarium and then work your way up to Salt water. I told him that if he decided that he didn't like this hobby or it was too time consuming then he wouldn't be out of too much money starting with fresh water. I will continue to spread the news about AAP...

You have business cards now? I try to push AAP to everybody that asks me a question while I'm at the LFS. They've read your site and dumped their Kent product line and switched to Seachem. I don't know if you've gotten more sales from my area or not, but I've been trying as well. I am also relying on you guys sticking around!

We are ding a bit better, but still well behind where we should be. I definitely like the SeaChem line over Kent. Although Kent does offer a few good/unique products, much of what Kent has done is slick packaging and marketing IMO over as much substance AAP does sell a few Kent products that are unique, but they are poor sellers. www.americanaquariumproducts.com/KentMarine.htmlCarl
