Earlier this month I was thinking (again) that someone needs to come up with something to help with aquarium maintenance...I'm always trying to figure out where to put things as I'm working.
I discovered the Eheim MultiBox. Of course it didn't arrive until after I did my major water change/XP2 maintenance. I don't remember the exact amount, but I paid ~ $14 for it. It is what I would call "charcoal" plastic and is ~ 12" x 7" x 4"H, and can be hung on the aquarium. You can use it for a variety of purposes. It has a divided lid that is ventilated (and has an opening for an air hose) where you can set things such as plants/plant debris, supplies, etc, as well as eyelets for hanging tools, and can be used to carry wet things to the sink or trash (and for acclimation and treatment).

Here are a couple shots I found of "the box": [Edit: I was just taking a look at the 2nd photo... ... boy are the cords a mess, someone needs to come up with something to keep them all together--and from tangling up--so when you have to unplug something (or 3) you can keep track of them...and not lose them behind the aquarium.]

Handy box. Your tanks has filled in nicely.
I need to do some tank shots soon. I'm getting better at hiding cords, but they're always some showing. :/

I like it. Your aquarium area looks like mine except I have to put more into a closet to hide it all
