Correct lighting on custom build tank

these are some picks of what I have been working on.  Doing research on correct lighting and plants and I am so confused as to which way to go.  I understand the concept sort of but there are a lot of variables that I dont know enough of.  Based on the pics the tank is 60x24x24 which would but the lights at a minimun of 27" from the bottom.  I am looking for low a couple of low light easy maintenance plants; nothing major but I also want correct lighting for Discus also.  Everything that I research on Carl's articles tell me that at the least I am looking at least two Growbeam 600.  I also wanted two Color Plus, but the cost would put me close to $1000.  With the water depth reaching 27" I wondering if two growbeam 1500 would be a better choice, but then I dont want to have the Discus under blazing light all day.  Any suggestions would be appreciated and in the mean time more research.

My suggestions would be (2) GroBeam 1500. That's it. I know you are growing plants and if the tank was packed full of plants, even some harder to grow, I would recommend up to (4). But all things considering, (2) would be gentle on the Discus and grow plants under the light. I don't think you would need more. You could add a Color Plus in the middle of the two if you get more plants. Or even have the three on a controller and phase them on and off.

This comes out to a 150 gallon aquarium (width x height x length ÷ 231= gallons)

I think two colour plus LEDs would be a good start without any other lights if this is primarily a discus tank with just some low light plants
Should you want more, since the AquaRays are modular, you could easily add some GroBeams later on
