G'day, I'm back in the game of running an aquarium after a many year hiatus. Good to be back. Eagerly digesting all things aquarium related and I find myself on this forum via the American Aquarium Products web page. I understand they sponsor this forum, so allow me to do a shout out... I am blown away by the quantity and quality of information available by Carl in particular via the AAP web page. Outstanding! Carl - if you're listening - hats off to you. You're not just spouting off with "opinion" and unjustified "trust me's". Your articles are well written, well thought out, and backed up with both scientific data and real world experience. What an absolute gold mine of information. Thank you. I acquired a fully functional, fully stocked, established cichlid tank. 135 gallon tank (6x2x1.5) serviced by a pair (2) of Eheim Pro II 2028 canister filters. I find the biological filtration good, but still find some particulate floating in the the water. With the stocking level, I do find I have to keep the nitrates under control via water changes. Sean.

Welcome to Everything-Aquatic sdboers! I'm happy you found us. Carl works very hard to keep all the aquatic information accurate and up-to-date. I hope you continue to find it helpful. Renee

Hello Sean and welcome aboard the EA Forum.
I too run a monster tank (150G) with cichlids - New World mostly though. I keep a tank blog on this forum under "Tank Blogs". You might enjoy reading about my filtration systems. I hope you will opt to keep a tank blog of your own here too, and would look forward to reading it and perhaps seeing some photos/videos.

Loving this forum so far. It seems more sparsely populated than a lot of forums, but is more dense in information and willingness to help.
Sean.
