I just tried to register my GroBeams, and the process wouldn't complete even though I filled the info out like I thought they wanted. One line asked for County--I assume they meant Counrty, and where they asked for Town I also added the state--since there was no spot for that-- and since there was only one spot for the serial number and the Duos have 2 separate #s since there is one for each light, I put both #s in together with an "&" inbetween. One of the things the respose said was to check your phone number--which was correct--so I added the 1 before the prefix, just in case. That didn't help either. Any ideas what I've done wrong, or needs to be done/corrected? I wish these things would tell you WHAT was wrong, instead of just "something" isn't right.

There is nothing you need to do for the registration process. AAP has the transaction on file and will pull it up if they ever need to do a warranty return. No worries.

Thanks, Devon.
I had tried to register them again (because the booklet says they have to be registered for the 5 year warranty to be effetive) and had the same problem (where it said there was a problem and to "check everything you enterd"), but this time, when I logged on and started to enter the info, everytime I hit a key or two for each line, my info for that segment automatically popped up.
It's good to know that it has been taken care of for me, because with my luck, right after the 2 year default limit (when the product isn't registered) something would go wrong.
BTW, I went over the (approximate) costs to set up the same system I had before:
48" twin fluorescent striplight, and replacing the ZooMed UltraSun bulbs every 6 months for 5 years (assuming the striplight lasts that long--I don't think this one did, but I don't have the info recorded on when I got it): $377.80 (or $75.56/month)
Twin GroBeam 600 Ultima LED: $247.99 (or $49.59/month)
The costs, of course, don't include the extra power the flourescents used (64W vs. 24W), or the shipping and handling (I have to purchase online) every time I had to make a purchase--assuming I didn't order "everything" at the same time..

Rest easy. I had an issue with one of my GroBeam fixtures a while back and Carl took care of it for me. Absolutely zero hassle.

Thanks, Parker. I'm not expecting anything, but you never know. Take my hassles with setting up the UV, for example, I ended up buying alot of extras, most of which I didn't need in the end, before I finally got the system set up--no leaks, etc.

Yeah, with 3 tanks and a koi pond, I find myself in those kinds of situations a lot. I've also found that if I calm down and listen to Carl, things work out a lot better.
