Yeah, I'm not adding anymore fish. I'm actually trying to let nature take its course, so to speak. I plan on only having angels from here on out so I'm kind of patiently waiting for the other fish, most of which are tetras, to pass on.
Not to say I'm killing fish or not treating them for disease, I'm just not in "by all means necessary" mode. The cory and white tetra both passed this morning so I think I will just wait and see what happens next. I don't really want to treat my entire tank when I don't really know what's causing this.

Understandable. Angels tanks are nice.

This is the problem, I would like to be at least 75% sure of what is causing this. I still have not ruled out the vapors from staining/varnishing new cabinets since it was only a short distance I think my earlier comment might have been premature, as I was basing it on the fact the fish had ceased dying, while using the Med. Wonder Shell. What type of substrates (or decorative rocks) are being used? If there is any toxins, some substrates absorb these much more than others, including plant substrates, and most of all sandstones, corals, etc. As well since the fish seemed better when using the Med. Wonder Shell, it might be worth exploring the use of a Med. Wonder Shells again + Nitrofurazone (Furan 2), although this is still back to guessing. Any symptoms if only just hours before death? Carl

I've loaded Ammo-Carb and Purigen so if it were the varnish, I think I'm effectively dealing with it in the water column. I'm using Flourite so I would imagine it does absorb some toxins, yes.
The symptoms in the two fish that died yesterday were consistent with secondary bacterial infection (swim bladder and popeye, respectively).
