I like the re-arrangement. Is this the little black angel you were having "problems" with? I do have some questions about your eel. Does he seem to show any interest in, or just ignore the other fish? Have you had any problems with him trying to escape? And what do you use to keep him from trying? I saw an egg-crate insert on the home page of an online company (I don't remember who they were, now), but it wasn't anywhere on their "items for sale" list.

Yup same Angel I've had two eels in this tank. The last one passed away and really I saw no reason for it. I think he might had been bullied. He was much more active then the one I have now. The one you see in the picture how was coming out, because of some fresh cool water I put in the tank on a hot day. That would get him to come out every time. Most of the time, he sticks to himself and doesn't interact with the other fish. He just finds a nice spot next to the driftwood and hides out. Not sure what he does at night... He doesn't move for much. When I bought him, it was from a tank that has a sand bottom and he was buried every time I went to go see him. That's pretty much what he's doing in my tank. He doesn't try to escape. I've watch him swim up the outtake of my sand filter/sterilizer on the left side of the tank. That's when it has less flow going through it though. I don't even keep a lid even though I know I'm suppose too. He just hangs out. Suppose to get like 8-10 long. I really like him. I liked the other one too so I was pretty sad when he passed away. Thanks for asking.

Cool. From what I have picked up from this thread and other people's experiences with the TMC GloBeam 600, it is one of the best aquariums lights on the market. Unfortunately, I have never kept plants or really used lights much for my fish, so I know very little in this area. :/ They said they would only agree if they get fed every hour of the day. LOL Renee

Hi Devon
I still can't get over your "dive" video! It gives me yet another perspective on what even my fishes are seeing in their tanks. Basically I do not think I will ever look at tanks the same ever again. You are doing great things with your tank - keep up the fantastic work!!!!

I actually already have another tank dive video done. I've just been waiting to release it. It really focuses on the pleco, which is really fun to watch. He was very active for the video. I was happy with the way they turned out. I even have one of a salt water tank from the LFS, which turned out good. I'm hoping they give us a good view and maybe notice something we haven't before. One thing I found interesting is the sound. There's a buzzing of the pump that the fish are listening to all the time. The video from the LFS had a real high buzz, my tank had a light buzz (thankful for that). I would think the fish would be annoyed with that. Thanks for your support.

How do you make the "dive" aspect of your video? It's relly cool! waterproof camera. I use my....get this... my cell phone! The new Samsung Galaxy S5 Active. And it's a wide angle camera that gets a lot in the shot at one time. It's pretty awesome and really got the phone because of it's camera...

I really like the markings on your pleco--sailfin, right?
I love plecos, just wish they'd all get along, and alot of them weren't so expensive. I'd love to have a tankful of them and cories. When I was in Petco for the 2-day limited-location fish and plant sale, they got in a 4" (total length) gold nugget pleco. I've always wanted one; luckily it's only wishful thinking, if I remember correctly, it was $45--and that's a low-end price! It seems all anyone wants to carry is the common pleco. It took years before I was able to even find clown and bristlenose plecos, including the years that LFSs existed around here.
The clown pleco I had before the big ice storm was named Emmett; he never got the chance to "grow up", only made it to ~ 3 1/2". If he was a Pecoltia vittata, like I think he was, he never got to show the beautiful (IMO) adult coloration/markings. The albino bristlenose I have now is named Selleck. When I got him, he was probably ~ 1 1/2" long (TL), and now he is maybe 3" TL. I really wanted an albino butterfly bristlenose, but never found one. The little peppermint pleco elswhere on the forum is beautiful, too.

Another nice video! The plecostomus is a Trindidad ( Hypostomus punctatus), probably the most commonly sold. When we had our LFS in Los Angeles, the small 2-3" specimens only sold for $2.99 Carl

Yea, this guy is about 8-10 inches. He's the dino of the tank. Get a lot of attention when he's hanging of the glass and I have company over. He's got a great personality. Get's a little aggressive sometimes when the little guys make him mad. He'll trash around pretty good. Haven't pulled us this round of plants yet . We really like him.

I was thinking sailfin because his dorsal looks larger than normal to me.

I have not been able to find a box big enough for the Big Tank - I think it would be easier to ship you to my tanks instead of the other way around. . What about shipping my fishes down to you Devon - put them all into your 40 gallon for a few months .......please Carl, glad you think it is a fair trade deal too
