Hey everyone! It's been a long time since I've posted!
I only bought 2 of these Kenyi Chiclids when they were tiny babies, (I'm 98% certain thats what breed they are.) and they were both blue striped. Now one is yellow, and this one pictured is blue. And she has babies in her mouth. Well, that's what I'm assuming is going on! I don't know how to go about caring for them or anything. I don't know how long they have been there, or even what to do from here. Someone help!!! AHH!
Thanks!

Am I supposed to take her out, or get one of those nets that keep her separate? I do have 3 other fish in the tank (with the male and female) and it's 55 gallons.

Congrats on your breeding of your Kenyi! My personal opinion is to leave her in the aquarium, as I have found Kenyi Cichlids to be good parents, especially when these are the only fish or the the aquarium is lightly populated. As a side note, sometimes with a "first" breeding the fish may not be as good a parent, but subsequent breeding will produce better parents. See also: Breeding, Sexing FishEast African CichlidsCarl

Congrats on the babies kassidi! Your cichlid definitely looks like she is mouthbrooding. Very beautiful and healthy-looking fish as well. Renee
