Well as some of you guys know im a freshman at the University of Tampa and we are allowed to have a tank...small tank shh.... im breaking the rules. it is a oceanic biocube 14 gallon, 1 24W 10K and 1 24W blue actinic. um it will be VERY overstocked, basically there was a sale and i bought a whole bunch of stuff that I will leave in NY when i get back for thanksgiving. So it will have two clowns and a couple other things that ended up on the shopping list (PS the best way to get me to go against my judgement is by offering me a sale ) anyway, nothing special, im getting the tank on friday so i will head out on saturday to get about 5 pounds of live rock and 1 lb of rubble for the filter. i dont think i will get many corals, because this tank needs to be at least 90% breakdownable. BC this school turns off the power during breaks so christmas these fishes and inverts will be packed and transported with me on the airplane. And same goes for thanksgiving. So idk how corals will fit into this. But that is a quick over veiw.

I can definitely relate to you. I am fish obsessed so when I see really pretty fish at the store, I want them all. lol (I force myself not to tough. XD) Sounds like your fishies will be happy after Thanksgiving. Just keep the water in good shape if it's gonna be overstocked. Good luck!

right now it still has around 6 lbpounds of rock and 1.5 pounds in the filter.
i know i know...way to earily but i do have a bubble tip anemone and for now i do daily feedings of raw shrimp.
i have start colony of various polpys.
and cleaner shrimp, HC, nassusrius snails, and sand shifting star.
1 yellow goby and 2 true perculas.

overstalking a marine tank can be disasterous....but there are 2 reasons I`m not concerned here..... #1- Chris takes great care of his tanks, and #2- It doesnt sound overstalked to me.

thanks bike, i overstock everyone of my tanks i ever had but i love doing water changes and working on my tanks. +1 for the biohome in the filter!.lol Those are EXCELLENT points BC! Water changes and products like Bio Home (excellent product), as well as the use of UV Sterilizers can make a big difference in water quality, including the effect on Redox. Carl

unfort the rocks i bought are dirty rocks... alot of algae growth and a couple other things tube anemones, apistasia, um i think a various mussel. other than the tank is running good. since it is the schools electricity, i leave the lights on 24/7 hopefully get some nice purple growth soon enough. um the filter has 1.5 lb of LR and my biohome plus to give it alittle jump start. um 2 filter pads and other than that it is just a normal tank.

thanks, i really cant do anything nice to the tank because it has to be really breakdown able so i can take things home on a plane for breaks. so no corals just kinda fish.
somewhat boreing, but it will have to do.
Anyway, thanks for the comments. isnt she a lovely true percula
