Nice looking plant!!! I think I need to get a 30g and plant it...the 10g just seems too small now, and the Koi in the 75g would just eat the plants ....LOL

That is a neat looking plant. Keep us posted on that one. Does it prefer bright light?

Very nice plant Parker. It looks healthy too. I am not sure if this is the kind of solution you have in mind to the over-growing issue, but maybe you could put the wisteria in a tank in which it is the only plant species. Then put in a couple goldfish or other fish species that will eat it to help keep its growth in check.

So it has been 12 days since I pruned the Wisteria back nearly to the state it was in when I got it. It has grown about EIGHT INCHES! In the meantime, the other plant does not seem to be growing at all. It's green and healthy and throwing out roots but not new leaves. Also, I've made the observation that it looks nearly identical to the Blue Bell I had in my pond, which is not a submersible plant. So there's a chance it won't survive.

As you noted, Maybe this is simply not an aquatic species.
I am far from an expert on Hygrophila (my time in maintenance and experimentation was spent in finding the best as wells as most economical ways to keep fish and plants happy and healthy, not in species identification); from what I have read is that most or not aquatic.

It has now been 20 days since I trimmed the wisteria. The tallest stem is now TOUCHING THE SURFACE OF THE WATER again.

I've tried, nobody wants it. A lot of places I've talked to only want to buy from a "breeder". I don't know what exactly that means, at least not in this state.
I am actually considering setting up a fish/plant growing operation to make some extra money.

I am actually considering setting up a fish/plant growing operation to make some extra money. I think this is a good idea. If you do, please let me know and I will provide a link to promote your operation from my Plant Care Article as it gets a lot of views. Carl

So are you suggesting selling over the Internet? I'm just trying to figure out how I can actually make money doing it.

So are you suggesting selling over the Internet? I'm just trying to figure out how I can actually make money doing it. Maybe, or simply a phone number. You can get a free Google Voice account so as to not give out your personal phone number. If you do sell via the internet, a simple Free Wordpress, Blogger or similar account is all you need in my opinion. Both of the before mentioned can also host your pictures free up to 2 gb. Carl
