The one closest to the glass, which needs cleaned by the way , is a redear, sunfish, to the left and broadside by the coconut shell is a pumpkinseed sunfish, Peeking out from behind the stump is another longear, and a lepoard centopoma, (Not native to North america) , the one in the very back is a banded sunfish, (Obesus) , The last two facing the camera, are sunfish but i cant tell the species, one may be the mate to the obesus female, the other im guessin another punkinseed.

Nice pictures. Those are very beautiful fish. I believe I have seen some of those fish in lakes where I live. Did you catch them when you were fishing?

The long ears , and pumpkinseeds, yes the Obesus are from further south, and were sent to me by members of a large organization i belong to, the lepoard came from Pet Smart.

I love the sunfish! TFH did a nice article about native sunfish a while back. It was very interesting. I'd love to try keeping them, but if I'm remembering correctly, most of them would get too big for my 30 gal tank.
