I have goldfish and guppies which are omnivores but are primarily vegetarian. I used to feed them apples and cucucmber until I was told that was not a good idea. Now I just feed them spirulina algae flakes to meet their dietary needs but I'd like to feed them something else for this as well. Is there any foods I can find at home (not foods make for fish) that I can give them? maybe some kind of fresh veegtables? Thanks! Renee

I toss some blanched zucchini in my tanks every now and then. Platies and cories especially love it. And my cherry barb. Bettas like it too.
Peas are good occasionally as well. I tried carrots once, but they didn't go over too well.

Stay away from lettuce though, there is little nutrition and what there is does not justify the risk of bacterial propagation that lettuce can cause. Carl
