bichirs are tough to breed....but before ever considering it...the power issue hasta get looked after. i have a breeder bud that may be able to help me out when all is fixed with the electricity.

mr. bike,can you help me now on breeding bichirs?hehe! well first i need to ensure i have a pair.both are 7inches,but 1 is fatter and bigger,and i'm sure he's a male.the other one not so sure,i think 75% she's a female.is there a chance you have any photos of a male and a female and even better a video of them breeding?thank ;D you

alright!!!!!my senegals are spawning!!!it's amazing!!!!...woooohooooo!i'm so excited.i have to wait 2 days before getting the pair out of the breeding/fry tank.according to bichir breeders,spawning takes 2 days!wow!!!i hope not all eggs will be eaten.yes,they eat the eggs,they sniff it out from the plants....wow!i maybe the 1st to have breed them in our city!or better yet,in the our whole province or region!haha!sorry for that guys,i'm quite proud really,

I second that idea of Carl's. I can't tell you how many times I have looked back over my tank blog to help me keep straight when something happened or when I did or added something to a tank. Have notes with good dates is always a good idea.
Congratulation on your successful spawn. I hope you have many fry!

the eggs hatched yesterday but unfortunately they died and i don't know why.. i have to wait another 2 weeks(and a lot of small water changes to simulate rain ) for the pair to spawn again.

Danny, Sorry to hear the fry died. It is really fantastic that you have a spawning pair and the eggs did hatch. Good luck on the next spawning
