My filter is leaking at the ON/Off Switch...the knob itself...Any idea's why/how?

I'm thinking an O-ring but I have not broke it down to find out. I have had it for a while now but the first time I have actually set it up.

Yes, your O ring n the valve is likely bad.

A temporary repair (or semi permanent) can be made by removing the O rings, then adding 1-2 windings of Teflon tape and the replacing the O rings. This has fixed 90% of O rings on a variety of pumps "in the field" for many years.
